I am searching for info on the family line of Fannie Nevelsky, born 10 Jan 1886, in Staradub, Chernigov, Russia. She immigrated to the United States from Russia and married Max Chausow, born 10 April 1878, also from Russia. Max's parents were Morris and Dorothy Chausow. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any information on Fannie and her parents or any siblings. Thank You!
I'm trying to find out more about my grandfather's side, I have been lucky enough to track down a few relatives in the USA and one in the UK but I am really stuck now!
My grandfather was born in 1925 as Joseph Harbron Applegarth, Father was Joseph Harbron Applegarth and his mother was Klavida Panfilonova Ekonomova who was born in Constantinople in 1900/01.... This is where I struggle!!
I know Klavida had 3 children (one in Batum, now Batumi, and two in the Manchester area) with Joseph and then went on and had 2 boys David Zeitlin and Michael Applegarth in France (my grandfathers half brothers), I can't find her birth or death certificate or anything on her or where to look?? I have her marriage certificate with Joseph and I know her parents were called Panfil/Pavel and her mother was called Elisaveta that is all :(
Chausow or Chausoff: Seeking info on line of Morris Chausow or Chausoff, born abt 1854 maybe near or close to Novgrodceversk, Russia Wives names were Dorothy (children: Dashia, Max, Abe, Carl, twins who died at birth and Sadie) and Bessie. Also found record stating a wife named Raizel (wondering if Raizel was a nickname for Dorothy?) Thanks!
Do they translate to actual Russian names. These names came from my Alaskan family tree and I think they may be spelled differently, especially in Russian. If anyone knows anything about these surnames, please reply. I have tried Googling them but I have found nothing tht is an exact match.
