On the ship manifest, she is traveling with Maria Alaino (38 years old). I think this is true because the name they both give for the relative or friend in the country they left is the same. It is in Column 11 of the ship manifest.
The name of the person they both give in the country they left is "Mother, ?????, Carmela" and the location is "Rica????".
Can you look at lines 22 & 23 in Column 11 of the manuscript and tell me what you think it says?
On the second page of the manuscript, lines 22 & 23 in Column 18 give the name of the person they are both going to meet. It is the husband of Maria Alaino. His name is written with the 2105 First Ave., Brooklyn, NY address. His name looks like Vincenzo, Guispepe. Can you tell me what you think it says?
On column 19, it lists the city and country where they were born. Can you tell me what it says?
Does any of this seem familiar? Could this be the family adopting her?

I keep thinking about this little girl and how to find out what happened with her. I've looked at some new records and I think maybe if I can find someone connected to the family of the women who traveled with Ernesta they might know about her. Is it okay with you if I post some questions on different message boards to try to find this family?

I am looking for any information on the Easley Family. My Great-Grand Father was George Washington Easley (1873-1923) & my Great-Grand Mother was Lotty Scott Easley (1883-1927). They were orginally from Missouri but moved to Oklahoma at some point. They had 7 childern. My grandfather was Marion Darrel Easley (1922-2004). George was married to someone before Lotty. I hope you all can help. Thanks, Kristin
Yes George was married before Lottie, Lottie was the mother of Darrel & Lesta (my grandmother) all the others came from the first marriage. Nellie (Lola's daughter) was still alive and living at the cottage at Canyon Lake a few years ago. If she is alive she would know what her grandmothers name was.
Thank you for replying to my post. Nellie is still alive and still living on Canyon Lake. My mother & Uncle have both talked to her with in the month or so. if your grandmother was Lesta & my grandfather was Darrel I think we would be 2nd cousins. Lola's mother was Georgina Mootry. my e-mail is email@example.com.
