Problème de création d'arbres à imprimer
Carine Glineur
- Fermer

Bonjour,

Merci d'avance,

Carine

Hi Carine,

Thank you for writing to us.

I see that on your family site you have two different family trees, one has  over 500 people, and one has over 2000 people.

Is it possible that you are looking at the wrong tree?

To restore the tree with over 2000 people to your computer from your family site, please go on your site to Family Tree > Manage Trees and export the Gedcom. Then open it in Family Tree Builder.

Best Regards,

Esther / MyHeritage Team

Hi Esther, (I apologize for my English right now)

As soon as I've written to you, I've seen the same thing you describe. It's now resolved.

My problem is that I've begun to use Family Tree Builder and MyHeritage, but I'm now encoding the data via a software called Heredis. I continued using Family Tree Builder because I like the way I can treat the photos with it.

I love the publication on the site MyHeritage too, that's why I've extended my abonment, and I want to keep it to publish my tree on the web.

My problem is that I don't want to lose the photos I've got in my first tree and it's too big to simply erase and encode them again in my up-to-date tree.

The other problem is when I import the newest gedcom, Family Tree Builder consider it as a brand new tree and publish it as a new tree in MyHeritage. I've got to earse the "old" tree each time.

It would be more simple for me if I could only merge the new gedcom with the old one. Or if we had the possibility to say "only publish the new data".

I think a software has always to improve and I'waiting for this improvment because I really like MyHeritage.

Best regards,

Carine

Hi Carine,

Thank you for writing to us.

Gedcoms are actually treated differently than trees that are published to your site from Family Tree Builder.

Each gedcom that is uploaded to the family site is uplaoded as a separate tree and this is why the whole tree is uploaded, and you have to remove the previous tree.

Even if you merge a new gedcom with an older tree in Family Tree Builder, the new resulting tree will be condidered a new tree, and will be published as a new tree.

We understand that these are features that many users wish to see improved, and we are working on doing so for the near future.

Thank you for the input and suggestions.

Best Regards,

Esther / MyHeritage Team
