I have an ancestor called Elijah King born in Rodborough in 1826 and he was married to Emily S King and they had 5 children, all boys. He was my grandfather's grandfather. His son, Henry moved to Kennington where my grandfather was born. Do you have any further information on Elijah's ancestors. I didn't know that Emily's maiden name was Tubb.

Have information on Baucum family from North Carolina to Alabama and into Newton, Jasper, Jones ,and Smith Counties MIssissippi. Appears almost certain that most all Baucums of this area of Mississippi were desendents of James Baucum b. 1823 N.C. d. 1884 Newton Co. Ms. . Need and will share information especially from Jones, and Jasper counties. James had a son Josiah or ( Joe) who settled in Jasper Co. and two sons William I. and John H. who settled in Jones Co. James also had a nephew William Davis Baucum who moved to Newton Co. and also had children whose desendents are in this area. James also had daughters who married and had families in Newton Co. Had one sister , Sarah (Arrington) Baucum who is buried in Rushton Cemetery, Laurel Ms., next to nephew John Chester Baucum.
