I am looking for ancestors of mine with the surname Benson who came from ireland.I have a "john Adams" who was born 1845 ? in fermanah and came to england and join the Army..On leaving the Army he changed his name to "John Beatson Adams"..No one knows why...I believe his father's name was Alexander although not proven..I know what became of john Benson but i would like to know more about his Ancestory in Ireland..many thanks :)
