I'm searching for an my uncle's family. We know that his father was Adam Kotecki, 1885, and married Stanislawa ( Stella) 1892, Rachwalska in 29 Sep. 1908, place unknown. Adam's parents were Francis & Mary (Marciniak) Kotecki. Stella's parents were Joseph & Martiniana Rachwalska. I believe that they may have come to the US from Poland, maybe through New York City,1908, then through Detroit. They lived in East Chicago, IN and raised three children; Francis, dob 1913 in LaSalle, IL, and Kasper, 1915 in LaSalle, IL. John Thadeus or Thaddeus, was born in 1930 in East Chicago, IN. Adam was a harbor worker in this city. My uncle, John, (married my mother's sister, Mary H. Heuser) knows very little about his father's homeland of Poland. I would appreciate to hear from anyone that may know something of this family or their origin. Please contact me at the email provided.
I'm looking for Elizabeth Leach Who was gave to my father in 1936 of June of that year and apparently she had other children as what they lived in London during the second world war. She worked at White Hall.
I am a direct descendant of Henry Robilliard born 1799 in St Peter Port, Guernsey - died 1879 Melbourne, Australia.
I believe Henry's parents to be, Jacques or James (1755-1805) ??? and Marie Robilliard nee Hill (1758 - 1805)???
I also believe that Jacques/James and Marie had the following Children;
James 1780-1862,
Jeanette Seamer 1783-1873,
Jean 1783-1873,
Pierre 1786,
Anne 1788-1837,
Judith Langlow 1791,
Samuel 1793,
Marie 1796,
Wiliam 1802,
Susan 1803,
Any information on the above Robilliards would be greatly appreciated, along with any burial info for Catherine Elizabeth Robilliard (nee Ogier) who was Henry's first wife (1801 - 1845) died St Helier, Jersey.
Please feel free to email me on tangwa@hotmail.com or by return post,
I am looking for any relatives I may have in the Philadelphia area. My father, who's name was Major Minor served in the USAF stationed at RAF Manston, Kent, UK in 1951/52, he left the UK in 1952 but returned in 1954 for a short time. To my knowledge I have 5 half siblings (all female). I only know a couple of names one being Barbara and another either Angela or Mary. One of my half siblings was born in June of 1953. My father passed away in 1990/91, survived by his wife Suzanne(not too sure if the spelling is correct).
I googled "Suzanne Minor Pennsylvania" and came up with a Susie Minor of Hazel AV, Philadelphia, PA who is in her 80s. The site said she had 5-6 relatives. Does this help and seem to fit your profile?
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm greatful for any leads, the only other details I have is that at the time of my Fathers passing, the family were living on Thomas Street in Philadelphia and he had something to do with the railways in New Jersey.
Yes, there is also a Susie [Susan?] Minor on Thomas Street in Philadelphia. I found this on spokeo.com but they wanted another $5 per month for more info, including phone number. So there are 2 Susie Minors in Phila. or else she owns 2 properties. I'm not sure what you want to do with the information, whether you want to talk by phone or send her a letter or connect by email?
It's tough that the family had all girls, since they may have married and now go by different surnames. Let me see if I can google one of the other first names.
I have taught at The Bead Garden store that's mentioned in the text! Small world! At the end, there's a company site listed for barbaraminor.com
Try contacting her that way. BTW she makes beautiful stuff, but I have no idea if she's your half-sister. There are 41 other Barbaras listed across the US.
I would reaerch your father on the computer & see what the obits say & where they lead you. They may list his former employers & give you other hints. Good luck!
