My late father, Edward James Dunn (Ted) kept a love letter written to him by "Anna". Anna was pregnant and her father had them followed and knew all. He would not let them marry. She refers to "our story - 'The Young Lovers' when it makes it to the big screen and that maybe then, people will understand".
My father was an Australian soldier and wounded at the battle of El Alamein and sent to England to recuperate circa 1943. I can only surmise this is where he met and fell in love with Anna. My father married my mother in 1944 and I have 6 siblings from this union. My siblings and I are quite intrigued by this letter and believe we may have a half sibling out there with family. I have the original letter in my possession
Tryiiing to connect with members of her tree as I am the granddaughter of her and Fred Fox. My mother, Elizabeth Ruth Goss Fox passed away when I was a child and I am curious about her family. My uncle and father are both dead so I'm trying to get any and all info that I can. I was an only child.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
I am researching my G Granddad, Ferdinand Porath, B. Jan of 1847, somewhere in Prussia, Germany. Don't know the exact state in Prussia, as there 'were' several states 'under the land area' Prussia. (may have been in the Arnswalde (Brandenburg or Pommern) area)
He would have immigrated sometime before 1875. He had 2 wives, 1st Wilhelmina Schrader, 2nd Johanna Kreuger. He married Johanna in Ottowa Co, Ohio. He died and was buried in Elliston Ohio. (Elliston/Trowbridge Cem)
