My problem is my computer had to be deleted entirely due to a very bad virus. I had to download my familytree builder again how do I merge myheritage website to the new tree builder. I really dont want two different trees with the same information on my website. I don't want to start over.
The Genealogy message boards are meant to be a place where you can consult with other members regarding issues about how to document your family history.
Questions like: How do I notate a source in my tree? Does anyone know a good place to search ancestors of Venezuelan origin? Does anyone have information about John Smith, born in Ireland in 1877? belong on this message board.
Questions about using MyHeritage.com or any of our products should be posted on the Support message boards located here or directed to email@example.com.
How do I publish my family tree from Family Tree Builder? How do I invite members to visit my family site? What happens when I get an error message? are questions that belong in the support message boards.
Please take care to post your questions in the proper board so that we can help you in the most efficient manner.
I am the youngest grand-daughter of Murcel Dolbell Liston. I recall growing up with the middle name spelling to be "Dolbell" (however this seemed to be unclear as to its certainty). On Family Search I find that there are many misspellings of his middle name and I would like to find clear documentation that states how it is correctly spelled. I've searched for birth register's (but have been unable to locate him) and would like to find a source that would come from his parents. All "Dolbell" ancestors are listed as spelling their name "Dolbel" (in Family Search) which is also different from my understanding. I would like to correct this but want to prove my spelling with documentation that would have come from a certain source.
I've tripped across your genealogical data for Spettel family from time to time, and often see (or maybe EVERY time in YOUR databases as opposed to other organizations' data) that
with father Charles Paul Spettel 1860-1924
and mother Anna Bartl 1865-1924 .
and a son Marcus J Spettel 1898-1990 and no other children,
when Charles and Anna actually had ANOTHER child
a son Frank Joseph Spettel 1897-1990 . I.e., Frank was born before Marcus.
When your entry for Charles and Anna say "Marcus and no other children" you're leaving off Frank.
I suspect that Marcus's 19-year census reports are a little more stable over the years than Frank's, Marcus with no issue, and very little moving (maybe while off at college one time, with just about all his life in LaCrosse W.I)
Frank was in the Army from 18 or 19 years old, for 29 years, and was always somewhere else, and with 4 kids sprinkled out -- 2 in different places in the continental US, and 2 born around the Pacific Rim, when the census canvasser showed up.
Since I think the 1900 census has both the boys reported, I'll be interested in how so many of the copycat trees miss Frank. And/or who copies from whom...
