I am looking for a good genealogist that works in the Brazoria County area of Texas. Must have the ability and background in researching African Americans in and around that area. Please email me if you and someone you know has this an interest or desire. I have collected a great deal of information already so this would not be a new start up project, just one that needs to do more digging to connect the dots.
Go to Association of Professional Genealogists. They have a member list that tells what parts of the country they cover and what they specialize in. Good luck. www.apgen.org
First you start with your family name or the last name of the person you want to find. If it is a person that you think might be family but you dont know their last name it is good to talk to school friends of your parent or parents. Alot of the time school friends can remember who went with who in high school and alot of what happened. If this doesnt help you and you dont mind being more specific you can email me at bgmsanders@aol.com and I will see if I can help you. Barbara

Am I able to send someone a link to my tree without inviting them via email? I am a member of several forums and we just put the link to our tree in a posting and they can click the link and go to the site. I don't want to be 'inviting' people via the 'invite' people feature here.
I fixed this problem by making my tree public, no one needs to be invited, wish more trees were public, even in public the details of living people is hidden.
