I have a brother who has 2 adopted children and 1 natural child. They all show up when I on the page where families are created (with the broken line indicating adoption), but when I go into "family tree" mode the adopted children are not there --! I have unattached them and reattached them several times and ways, but nothing changes. How can I make them part of the family tree? I have the same problem with adoptive cousins (no natural birth siblings), but not with an adopted son (only child) for a great great aunt!?
I have just added a new woman to my Tree. She is the spouse of an existing man.
I then realised that her sister already existed in my tree along with her Mother and Father. When I tried to add her to this family, I ended up with my existing man having 2 spouses
How do I connect all the people or merge the 2 entries
click on her on the tree and it should give you the option to delete or edit her.
Do you have a Charles Westley who is married to a Fanny or Francis Westley? Charles was born in 1791 I don't know were and his wife was born in Clemsford Essex and was born I think in 1793 or 6. I have info on their children but not who she is I saw her baptism record and I saw her parents first names were William and Elizabeth but no last name on there.
I experienced a similar situation. What worked for me was instead of clicking the" Add son/daughter" buttons, I instead clicked the "Attach existing child button", which opened a new screen with a list of family members. Simply scroll down to the appropriate person, click on the name and follow the prompts.
