can you give us an approx time frame of immigration? And a first name? Familysearch.org has digitised images of some NZ immigration passenger lists from 1855 to 1973 for free. But you may find most of these ships came via ports in England. For instance, though the passenger may be Irish, Scottish, or German, they probably left on a ship from London or Plymouth. I am no expert on German immigration, so perhaps you need a local librarian from NZ's key ports, ie Auckland or Wellington or Canterbury to help with the European side of things.

The only information I have is his name Warren stevens or stevenson ( may be spelt with a 'ph') born roughly late 50's early 60s. A close friend of his was a bruce rennie (any info on this would help also). He lived in the auckland area, I was born 1977 in australia...concieved in NZ
